Run time error 401

Can someone help me with this? I keep getting a message
box that reads: "Run time error 401. Can not show non-
modal form when modal form is displayed." My company uses
a network, but the program I am trying to launch is on my
stand-alone system and does not use the network. Number 1
I don't know what modal vs non-modal is and number 2 I
don't know where to go to figure out how to change the
setting.

It's an error thrown by a buggy piece of software. I doubt you'll be able to
fix anything.
