I have 3 XP professional machines with two machines mapping to the third for sharing a folder. Upon rebooting the two pc's that has the drives mapped to the third, the mapped drives very rarely reconnect. I have seen many articles on this with no solutio
ns. It appears that this is a problem with XP as I have the same scenario running under Windows 2000 with no problems. I've tried with reconnect at login and also have tried running a batch file at startup with a netuse statment. I can run the same batc
h file with the netuse statements after the pc's boot and it will consistently reconnect but once I put the same batch file in the startup folder it will refuse to reconnect. Does anyone have any ideas?
