I am running XP Home Edition and a CNet Pro200 PCI
ethernet adapter was recently installed in my PC. A
local area connection was not automatically created under
network connections, therefore, not allowing me to
connect to the Internet via a Cable Modem. I have tried
to manually create a connection but nothing ever appears
under network connections. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Does the adapter show up in the output from "ipconfig"?
