Opening Files

[Hi]

Help please.

When I double click on a folder it opens a search window.
I have to right click and select open to open the folder.
How do I get it to open the folder on the double click????

What about a similar problem with 98SE. I can't open a file by double
clicking it, I have to right click and then do an open
