When I installed XP on my MAIN computer, it asked me if I
wanted to be a member of a domain or a workgroup. It said
I could skip this question and set it up later. I skipped
it because my computer was not connected to my server at
the time.

Eventually, I connected the computer to the server
(Windows 2000 server) I tried to make it a member of my
domain PHOTO. It created its own domain called MAIN. (The
name of the computer)

How can I switch the settings of my XP computer from
joining a domain to joining a workgroup?

Is the Windows 2000 server an actual domain or a workgroup? If you did not
run DCPROMO on the server it is not a domain controller.
