Deleted User Account

When you delete a user account and select delete files are
they moved to another user or default user or are the
truely gone?

Hi

All the files are deleted, including those in user account's My =
Documents folder. There are some other implications that you should =
take into consideration before deleting a user account. No access will =
available to any personal certificates, encrypted files, passwords for =
web sites etc. that the deleted user account had permission to use. =
Re-creating a new user account with the same name will not give you =
access to these files as the account will have a different SID (Security =
Identifier).

You will need to use User Accounts to perform the deletion, otherwise =
the Account's profile stays in the Documents and Settings folder and can =
cause confusion if another account with the same name is created at a =
later date.
