Somehow, the name under Documents and Settings\satoshi.xxxxx-YiB2XLP\** is
too long.
I found that my name is followed by the full compuer name (xxxxx-YiB2XLP).
I would like to have a shorter name, say, "Documents and Settings\satoshi\**
like that.
How can I do that? Satoshi

You can put the My Documents folder anywhere you want. Right-click
on the icon and choose Properties. The contents of the folder will
be moved immediately. You cannot do anything about the other
folders in the directory tree.

Hi,

I followed your instruction except that I did not move the My folder.

When I changed the name from properties, this is what I got:

"satoshi.xxxxx-YiB2XLP" is a Windows system folder and is required for
Windows to run properly. It cannot be moved or renamed."

Any suggestion?

Satoshi

You can only change the location of your My Documents folder. You
cannot change the name of the existing folder. You have to Browse
to the new location by using Find Target and then Move. As I
stated in my earlier message, the parent folder has to be created
first.
