Logging on to a downlevel domain.

How is this done with an XP Pro machine? I know it can be done as I've seen it done before, however, I have lost the how-to sheet I had. I know it has something to do with the security template on the XP machine, but beyond that... I have forgotton. Can
someone please help me?
