View Full Version : Connections need to be "repaired"

I know that IP's addy's need to be renewed every 24 hours
or so because they are only "leased", but our connection
needs to be "repaired" often before the 24 hours,
sometimes 2-3 times a day. We've never had this problem
with our system running Win-ME. Right now with the
connection working as intended the Support Tab
reads "Address Type: Assigned by DHCP", when the
connection isn't working it reads "Automatic Private IP".
We're connected through a Linksys Router and we're running
ZA. The router and ZA are set to factory defaults. It's
really becoming annoying and I haven't found any "fixes"
for this anywhere.

I would download the new NIC drive or re-install it.

Shutdown ZoneAlarm, or buy Pro version that handles DHCP properly.
