Have Windows 98 PC, XP Home PC & XP Pro Laptop. Windows 98
PC connects to web via hard wire to Linksys Cable Router
(BEFSR41). Have Linksys Wireless Access Point (WAP11)
connected to Router. XP Home PC connects to web via
Linksys Wireless USB Adapter (WUSB11). Works great! PC is
located very far from the access point & I never have a
problem connecting to the Web.
Problem with laptop. I have tried to connect to the web
via Linksys PC Card (WPC11 ver.3-which worked in my
previous home), an updated version of the same card & a
Linksys Wireless USB Adapter(WUSB11). Having extreme
problems even if I am sitting directly next to the access
point. Connection Signal oscillates between very, very
weak to no signal. BTW, laptop using a hardwire to access
the web works just fine.
