I have a problem with Internet Explorer, if my laptop is
connected to our company network I can get online.
However, if I'm at home and connect to the internet
through the modem I cannot use IE, I just get page errors.
E-Mail is working fine.
I have checked in Internet Options that the "Dial whenever
a network connection is not present" is set to yes.
An even stranger is, trying to get the dial up to work I
change some settings on the dial-up connection in network
settings - at no stage did i touch the lan connection -
but when i plugged it back in at work IE did not work
through either connection. I changed the settings back on
the dial up connection to what they were before i made any
changes and suddenly the LAN connection started to work
again.
Any thoughts because this is starting to drive me nuts
