We are having problems opening all attachments - they are
in grey and not available to be opened. Wording across
the top of opened email reads OE removed access to the
following attachments, and this message includes the
attachment file name, or if no file is attached, says it
includes a file from another email.

Can someone help?? We use Windows XP, and Outlook
Express.

Lynley;
Outlook Express:
Open Outlook Express.
Click Tools, click Options, click Security tab.
Uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."
This change that Microsoft implemented is to help prevent viruses and
other bad code being received with attachments.
It is very important to keep your antivirus updated and run it at
least weekly.

I think if you go to "Tools,Options,Security you will find there is a button
that says something about " do not allow attachments to be saved or opened
etc. untick that and all should be well, presume you are using Outlook
Express, another example of MS knowing whats good for you :)
