Password

Any luck with this yet/ I have the same problem!

Long passwords coming up are normal with XP. It's just another security
feature. If your password for example is six characters and you use 'save
password' (so you need not reenter) perhaps as many as 10 *'s will show up.

Have you tried just hitting Enter? Xp has a feature to help protect
your password. When you type it, XP will extend the number characters
shown so nobody can geuss your password by count the number of
character. example..... "password" may appear with
***************.
