I have been using Roxio on WinXP with no problems.
Direct CD works fine too.
Make sure you have the latest patches for your Roxio
software. These was one for XP. Download from Roxio.
Also uninstall the Roxio software and re-install with the
latest patches or an upgrade version.
Roxio work much better that WinXP.
