I have a ATI TV Tuner VE that locks up my system every
time I try to close the TV Tuner program. ATI has no
fixes and claims that Microsoft has the fix available.
The problem....Article #817589 says there is a fix called
Stream.sys Version 5.3.2600.1193 however it is available
only upon request. My Computer is a DELL type P4 2.4
therefore microsoft wants me to contact them. Does
anybody have the fix?
Thanks

I too have the same problem. I tried to contact
microsoft, but my XP was installed by Dell. I was
directed to call Dell by the microsoft website and of
course the Dell support person was clueless.

Nice, huh?

Anyone have the fix for Hyperthreading systems hanging
with ATI TV Wonder VE cards?

Thanks,

Jeff
