volume icon and bar

My volume bar(displayed onscreen when using keyboard
volume controls)is no longer being displayed.How can I
get it enabled again? Also,when I checkmark the place
volume icon in taskbar,click apply and OK,it does not do
anything. If I go back to the sound and audio devices
(volume) the checkmark is gone,and still no volume icon
in the task bar!! Can anyone tell me how to resolve these
problems??!!

Hi,

To get the display back just download and install the drivers for the
keyboard. There should be a setup program you can run. If you don't have
the disk, go the manufacturer's website and download the drivers in the
support section of their site.

I don't know why xp isn't remembering your sound icon settings, though...
