When I create a video with Movie maker can I burn it on a
DVD and play it back on a DVD player? Do I need a
converter for this? If so, which is the best one?

If you have a DVD burner it should have come with the relevant burning
software.

Save the MovieMaker as a DV-AVI and the third party software should be able
to re-encode it before it burns.

If you only have a CD burner you can make VCDs which play in most standalone
DVD players. See www.vcdhelp.com
