Quickstart

Can anyone tell me how I get into the setup menu in order
to select Quickstart so I can cut down on the bootup time?
There is no "Press the delete key to enter startup menu"
message when xp boots up. I tried typing "msconfig" in
the "Run" command and that didn't show me anything with
the word "Quickstart". Any suggestions?

There is no "Quickstart" in Windows XP. You may want to use the
Hibernation mode instead of turning off the PC. This will load Windows
faster when you need it again later.

Are you referring to a quick boot option available in some BIOS/CMOS setup
menus? If yes, how to get to these menus vary from one system to another.
Usually a bit of text is displayed at the initial power up that says "Press
<some key(s)> to enter setup." If you aren't seeing that, check the
documentation for your system to find out what the appropriate keys are.

Once you're into the setup screens, you'll need to poke around in the menus
to see if a quickboot option even exists. When/if you find it, make your
change. Press Esc to exit the menu. Press F10 to save changes and exit.
