When I first installed XP Pro, I didn't want to have
multiple users. I subsequently renamed?, copied to?,
deleted?, default user etc... I have only had one user,
an administrator with my name on it, for almost two
years. Now I want to add a limited user for my kids and
don't even remember what I did to try and undo it. I am
running a stand-alone and When I try to loggon to a new
user that I create, the profile cannot be found and I get
an error message with an event ID#1500. Am I stuck or
can a profile be created?

Thanks,

David

The DEFAULT USER files are necessary for to create a new user profile.
Reinstall Windows to get the data back.
