How to display recording video?

Nowadays handycam/camcorder/video-recorder is
quite popular, it recorded video from real life
and re-display the video on TV.
Who knows it is able to display the recording
video on our PC? how? Thanks!

I think all you need is a capture card device and the apropiated software.
But i supouse the card should be analogic .
