VHr to DVD

I had my super 8 movies transferred to VHS tape. I now want to transfer this
to DVD. I have a Dell laptop 8600 . How do I go about doing this? I also
have Nero burning program. What connection port and cable do I use ? Thanks
for any help

You need a video capture card or similar to plug you VCR into.

1: Capture video to .avi
2: Convert .avi to mp2 (can take hours)
3: Edit Video (can take as much time as you want to put
in.)
4: Use DVD authoring software to make final cut & Burn.

Pinnacle makes a good package that does it all.
