New to WINXP. I downloaded for first time. Noticed a
choice prior to download.

Save as type: Compressed (zipped) Folder
All Files

It was a freeware download. I left it at default
compressed. Should I have?

Am I correct that in WIN98 the default choice was 'All
Files'?

When should I use one or the other?
Thanks, Jean

Hi,

Use the default option (Compressed). It will automatically add the .zip
extension. If you want to change to different extension (say .mmm), choose
all files and provided the file name and extension (mail.rrr) instead of
mail.zip.
