I have a new copy of XP Pro I want to install but when I start I get the
error message "The option to upgrade will not be available at this time
because set up was unable to load the file d\1386\WINNTUPG\NETUPGRD.DLL .
The system cannot find the file specified"
Is it a problem with the disk?

Hello
I suppose you have bought OEM version of Windows XP PRO?
The OEM versions can only do a "new" install -- not upgrades.

Hi Mick,
Clean the CD.
Clean the CD drive lens (any commercial product will do).
DISABLE your Antivirus software.
Try again.
