Movie maker crashes

I'm checked my PC for all known viruses, and there's none
here, although it shows all the hallmarks. Basically when
I start movie maker up, it's fine until I want to preview
something off the storyboard/timeline, or the autopreview
kicks in on the title creation/animation.

Pray tell what is this nonsense?

I've downloaded loads of different copies of "movie maker
2"(all the same, but at different points in time and from
different places,) but still it wont work. So, what's my
problem, and can anyone please help me?

Sounds like an unusual symptom so I can't point to something more specific.
