I recently realized that I cannot open a document which contains a serious
of word documents within it on my computer running windows XP small biz.
Basically what it is, is a word document that is a calendar of talks. There
is a table inserted to cover the series of months and weeks that the talks
are for.

I can open and or save the document but when I open it either way and try to
select a document it tells me the file is no longer valid or is corrupted.

I do not have this problems with the same document on my laptop that runs xp
pro so it is not the document.

Thanks.

Anyone please...I really need to find out what is causing this! basically as
I have said below, I cannot open documents that are embedded in documents.
Are there settings for this..can't seem to see why this is happening.

Are any of the inserted tables or calendars linked to an external files?

no they are not. The weird thing is that I emailed this document to my other
laptop running office pro. and it opens up just fine. something weird on
this computer. I think this may have something to do with some settings
because I am also having a problem with sending links or web pages via
outlook email....it is like there are some security settings preventing all
of this.
