I am using a new Dell Dimension 4550 with factory
installed Win XP. Every time the computer is started, the
desk top shows a "read me-notepad" box. It can
immediately be cancelled, but I cannot permanently
eliminate it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks Temple

Check START | Programs | Startup .......is the it listed in there? If
not, call Dell, you paid for customer support ......why not use it.

Type MSCONFIG in your run box and go to the far right STARTUP tab. Find the
program in there and uncheck it. After restart it should not come up any
longer.
