If i have a file: windows media/video file burned onto cd-
rom how do i convert the file/or play it onto a dvd player
to play. if anyone knows please e-mail me, cheers

Put the file back on the hard drive.
Use third party software to reencode the file and burn it as a VCD, SVCD or
DVD (depending on your burning capabilities or compatibility of your
standalone player).
