Hi Gerd,
My very easy way to subscribe to Newsgroups:
1. Click the Newsgroup:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/using/newsgroups/default.asp
2. Select the underlined Newsgroup Topic you want to subscribe in categories
or click Use Web-based reader (using Internet Explorer), they're the same &
you cannot save them.
3. Choose Open with Newsreader so you can Save & Print.
4. Microsoft Outlook Express will automatically launch and retrieve all the news.
5. After you've enjoyed reading and exit that topic group, Windows will ask you if you
would like to subscribe to Microsoft Public Windows XP. Basic, etc, etc. Answer YES
to continue subscribing the news.
6. You can repeat the process to subscribe others Newsgroups.
Hope this helps,
Rino
