Bold fonts have reddish shadows

Hi,

I'm using a Windows XP Professional on a HP nc4000
notebook. All the bold words in MS Outlook 2003, words
etc have reddish shadows. Does anyone know if this is a
Windows setting issue or a hardware problem?
