View Full Version : So upgrade laptop to 98?

Thanks, all. I will check the laptop's capabilities when I
get home. I don't know why it came with 95 - it's only 3
years old (yes I know that's about 30+ in computer years).
Do you think I should then upgrade it to 98? It never has
run really well and tech support told me it was because I
had a bad copy of 95... And what hardware do I need to
check drivers on?

Windows 98 would probably more realistic.
You would need Windows 98 drivers for all hardware.
Considering the laptop is 3 years old, Windows 98 drivers for all
hardware are probably available for all hardware on the laptop, but
check to be sure.
You can probably check at the website of the laptop manufacturer.
