Hi, I have a Gateway that came preloaded with windows XP
home edition that included VM and java technologies. I
had a hardware problem recently, and the tech weenies
reinstalled the os, only they installed XP pro instead,
and now I have no VM or java capabilities. What do I do???

Amanda,

Get the "tech weenies" to put the OS you have paid and are licensed for back
on the machine.
Unless you paid for an upgrade to Windows XP Professional then it should not
be on your machine.
Once you get Windows XP Home Edition on, you need to download and install a
Java VM
A search using your favourite Internet search engine for some thing like
"download Microsoft Java VM" should provide you with the downloads you
require.

Hi,
You can download and install the Java VM from one of the links at
http://www.java-virtual-machine.net/download.html OR
