Windows Movie Maker

I'm trying to load some footage from my digital camcorder. When I start recording, the record dialog box shows no video device. I have a USB connected. Am I missing something?

I had the same problem when I first started. Make sure your video camera is plugged into a wall socket; not running on batteries. Check the settings on your camera for video to go in & out. Make sure the camera is in the VCR mode. This should solve your pr
oblem providing all cables are connected correctly through the 1394 firewire port.
