I had a problem with internet connections and someone
suggested that I reinstall Windows XP and see if that
would repair the problem. It did fix that problem, but
now I have two Windows XP systems on my drive, and the
new one doesn't open my programs. How can I get my
programs over to the new system and/or get rid of the
extra? So now I have to open one system to connect, and
the other to work in my files. This is very inconvient,
and well as taking up space.

Hi Bruce,
Reinstall the programs to the same folder underneath the new installation -
this is the only way to resolve the issue. I would imagine that the original
suggestion was to reinstall and repair the original installation, not to
create a new one. If you would like instructions on how to still do that,
please post back. Otherwise, after reinstalling the programs, simply delete
the old system folder from Windows Explorer, then edit boot.ini to remove
the reference to it.
