Hi all!
this past weekend I upgraded my computer from ME to XP.
All my friends were raving about XP and all the neat
things they could do without having to add more
programs. So far I haven't figured them out but I will.
I do have a few questions now though.
After being on the computer for awhile, XP will go into
stand by mode on it's own. You restart it and then it
decides to hibernate. Any ideas on this?
And I have soundblaster. I downloaded the drivers from
the soundblaster website, but still I can not get any
sound out of my speakers. I checked all connections, I
verified that it was not muted. the speakers are working
fine or they were before I upgraded and they show up as
working fine. I do not know much about installing
drivers so I may have made a mistake there. It seemed as
if they automatically installed when I downloaded them.
But I do not know how to check. Device manager says it
is working properly. I tried finding some of these
answers in the previous posts but did not find what I was
looking for. So I really apprecaite your help on this.
