Hi,
It is possible if you have NTFS file system.
HOW TO: Set, View, Change, or Remove File and Folder Permissions in Windows
XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308418
Another way is to use Cacls.exe command. For exact parameters, type Cacls /?
at the dos window.

Hi again
None of this seams to aply to my question, i have 2 other user acounts on my
pc ( my kids ) but i don't want them to be able to get into windows or
program file folders. I tryied everything i read here . If i log on as one
of them i still can access any folder in windows or program files.
I want to keep the little exploreing fingers out of those folders , so i
don't have to reload windows every night .

Hi,
1. Open My Computer. Tools > Folder Options > View Uncheck "Use Simple File
Sharing"
2. Open Windows Explorer. From the Folders list on the left side of the
screen, select the appropriate drive (e.g., the C: drive)
3. From the updated Contents listing on the right side of Explorer, select
the folder or subfolder you wish to DENY access to.
4. From the File menu, select Properties OR Right click the folder » select
Properties
(The Properties dialog box appears. )
5. Select the Security tab
6. Delete all the users in the list (whom yu want to deny access to)

Hi again
That is what i wanted , but now i have to figure out how to let them use
certian programs.
If i deny program files then it won't let them use e-mail. If i click a user
and click edit and under the drop down arrow there is a list of folders ,
which one would i chose so they can't access the folder program files ,but
can use like outlet express.
I will catch on here one of theses days.
Thanks for all the help
