What to remove

I did the following:

Control Panel
Options
Advanced

And this what I got:

1) Microsoft H323 Technology service Provider

2) Microsoft HID Phone TSP

3) Microsoft Multicast Conference TapiSwitch Provider

4) NDIS Proxy TAPI Service Provider

5) TAPI Kennel Mode Service Provider

6) Unimodem 5 Service Provider

Can anyone tell me which of the programs I can safely remove. What does
these programs do?
I am using Broad Band for internet although just a few weeks ago I was using
a 56K modem.
The OS is winXP.

Hi, Blackgold.

You must have some special version of WinXP. On mine, Start | Control Panel
does not have a choice labeled "Options". Oh...I see. Start | Control
Panel | Phone and Modem Options | Advanced.

I also have all 6 of those listed. Only 3 even offer the Remove option;
only two enable the Configure button. I haven't configured or removed any
of them and my ADSL works fine. I did notice on the Modem tab that the 56K
internal modem I physically removed a year ago was still showing, so I
Removed that.

Is there any reason you shouldn't just accept the defaults and ignore them?
For specific advice, I'd say (1) contact your ISP, or (2) include details in
your next post, like make and model of modem, name of your broadband ISP,
etc.
