I recently got a virus. Was told to download a file to
remove the virus, but to run the file I had to be in safe
mode. I start the computer...hit F5 and it and select
safe mode. It then basically scrolls a few files and
freezes.

Now what?

You should hit F8. But there are several Safe Modes available, so you
may siply want to retry with an other selection.
If this does not help, try to find some more informations. Maybe you
can remove the virus manually as well.

Several Safe Modes ? - there are several Options on the
StartUp Menu but surely only one Safe Mode - or am I
missing something?
