It used to work! It works on my laptop, pc at work but my
home pc will not play the movie. I even purchased the
update from Sonic Solutions. It made no difference. I
have searched the tech support for anything I can find
and nada.
I updated my ATI Radeon drivers, did the direct x,
reinstalled everything at least twice.
Now what?

Download a free program called DVDInfoPro from
http://www.dvdinfopro.com/. It will show you how the DVD was recorded
and what formats your computer can use. My guess is that you have
DVD-R and your laptop only accepts DVR+R, or vice versa.
Nevertheless, the program above can help you find any compatibility
problems.
