1) Upgraded from MS-'98 to XT Home.
2) When shutting down in '98, Windows would close down and
PC fans, drives and all electric would turn off. When
getting on the next time I would push button in front of
machine and start a cold boot.
3) When shutting down in XP, Windows closes down but then
I get a Windows message saying I can now turn off PC. To
do that I have to unplug from wall (the button will not
turn off PC).

4) What did XP change on my equipement that changed this
convenient feature that Windows '98 supported?

5) Any thoughts?
