try PowerDVD, might help, being a cd drive it doesnt need
any drivers, and the software players provide all the
decoding required, so you shouldnt need anything more

>My laptot used to play DVDs fine but then I had to
reinstall Windows XP because of some problem and now it
won't work anymore. Last time I hunted around for a
decoder in my pc and found it but I have no idea what it
was. Something like ATI driver or something. Could anyone
tell me how to get the DVD player to work?
>Oh, my DVD player is InterActual if it's any help...

Do I have to buy it? Because I can't afford anything after getting a laptop... Beside I have a DVD player, it just doesn't find the decoder...

It will be somewhere with the CDs you got when you purchased the
notebook.... why not try looking in the notebook manual or asking the
manufacturer's where it is.
