A Chinese friend recently used my computer to check
his e-mail and since then I get Chinese characters on
many web pages. Annoyingly I cant use ebay to bid for
items because the amounts of money are partly missing.
Does anyone know how to remove unwanted Chinese
characters?

Hi John,
You may be able to correct the problem by going to Control Panes and double
clicking Regional and Languages. From there, click the dropdown arrow and
select the language you want. I'm not positive about this being the cure
but, I think it's worth a try.

Hi John!
I think what your friend may have done is changed your regional settings.
Try doing the following.
Click Start -> Control Panel -> Date, Time, Language, and Regional
Options -> Regional and Language Options
Set your Standards and formats to your language/country (English {United
States)) if you want the US setting
Set your Location to your country (United States) if you want the US
settings.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Yes--just don't let the unwanted Chinese character use your
computer anymore.
