CD data burning problems

I have successfully used the technique MS espouses for copying data to a
CD-RW burner in the past. (Dragging and dropping files to Local
Settings/Application Data/Microsoft/CD Burning and then selecting the CD
Drive and right clicking to Write These Files to CD).

The last several times I tried to do this, both with CD-RWs that have no
data on them, new CD-RWs and a new CD, I repeatedly got a message that the
CD probably could not be recorded to. The total size of the files to be
transferred was much smaller than the capacity of the CD.

I then explored Microsoft's other(?) technique for data copying, but I ran
into the following confusing instructions:
1.. Open My Computer.
2.. Click the files or folders you want to copy to the CD. To select more
than one file, hold down the CTRL key while you click the files you want.
Then, under File and Folder Tasks, click Copy this file, Copy this folder,
or Copy the selected items.
I was unable to find File and Folder Tasks, or the subsequent instructions.
Any ideas?

First of all don't send any attachments in a newsgroup or no one may read
your message.
Try empting your temp internet files + cookies, for your .jpeg problem.
