Windows XP Profile Problem

Hi Guys

I run Windows XP Pro on my home pc. I have a problem, that seems to affect
only my profile. Whenever I start an app that connects to the net (IE,
Outlook, KazaaLite, CStrike etc) the app freezes for two or three minutes,
then it runs fine. Once I have IE running, I can open another browser window
with no problems.

The other users on this PC have no problem, and I have another PC running
Win98 sharing the same internet connection, with no problems there either.

Help......

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Thanks Frank.

I cheated. I backed up documents etc, deleted profile, and rebuilt from
scratch.

I have bookmarked that site for future reference however, in case it happens
again (this is the second time...)
