Can someone help please.
I have an exe file which I cannot delete. It was somehow downloaded from the
net to my PC. When I try and delete it the following message apppears. I
think if you launch the file it automatically will dial a premium rate
number.
Error deleting file or folder
"cannot delete file: access is denied"
Makesure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not
currently in use.
If some one could give me advise on how to remove this
Thanks.

Seems to be a spyware. Eliminate it using Ad-Aware. www.lavasoftusa.com

The reason why you can't delete the file is because it's
currently in use...
But since this is a n00b forum, I'm assuming that you
HAVENT run the "add/remove programs" control panel. Check
that list to see if the program is listed there...
if it isn't..
Open the task manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del) and the Services
console...
Check in the Processes list for the name of the program
you want to delete, or if the program is in a process
tree... in which case just end the processes, and you
should be able to delete it...
If it isn't in that list, check the Services console for
any system services relating to that program... and if
so, stop that service...
Or failing that, start windows in safe mode and you
should be able to delete it anyway...
