I just updated from 98 and they used to have an option in
Window's Explorer to view as a web page or some such. It
basically just enabled a preview of images when you
clicked on them. So far I haven't found anyway to do
that in XP...I'm not thrilled with the filmstrip option.
Is there any way to enable the old simple preview? Thanks

Outlook Express. Then, view/layout. Turn on the preview.

When you are in the Windows picture and fax viewer there is an option at the bottom to view pictures in a slideshow, which takes the whole screen. Was it something like that you were looking for?

That feature is gone.
You can se the view for any folder to Thumnails and view the all as
thumbnails, but I, too, preferred View as a Web Page.

Start - Run the line
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

Should enable the preview - which will show in the left panel of a My
Computer window if you are in Icon view for the main window
