Loading Windows XP into memory

I read somewhere that with machines with lots of memory, it is possible to
load all of Windows XP into memory. Does anyone know how to do this?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for...
Open Regedit and navigate to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory
Management

Here you'll see two values which various 'tweaks' refer to as being
beneficial to a system with large amounts of RAM.

DisablePagingExecutive - default is 0.

LargeSystemCache - default is 0.

I'd suggest you search say Google, for more detailed info on what enabling
these settings may do for your pc.
Many tweaks claim a benefit to be had by enabling one or both of them but of
course your system and what you use it for will be more important when
deciding whether to make the tweaks.

For the record, i have DisablePagingExecutive enabled on my pc with 512MB
RAM running Windows XP Pro with SP1a.
I recently reverted it to it's default OFF setting and noticed very little
difference in how my pc runs - but there was a tendency for it to hang when
CPU usage was 100%.
It's now enabled again until i decide otherwise.

The LargeSystemCache setting can also be enabled/disabled with the Control
Panel's System applet.
Advanced tab, Performance Settings.
Advanced tab, Memory Usage.
