If you are using Outlook Express to view the newsgrous you can use <ctrl>w
to view all available newsgroups.

I just did and the only newsgroups that show up are microsoft. Theres like
over 1000 groups. I use to be able to get on like Austin For Sale newsgroup
and like hunting newsgroups but all it will show is microsoft. Any other
ideas?

Andrew,

It all depends on which news *server* you are connecting to, and you can
connect to multiple ones.

msnews.microsoft.com is of course going to carry only Microsoft groups.

However, other servers exist in the world. In fact there are probably
hundreds of thousands if not millions. Your ISP probably provides a
news server which you can connect to. Check with them. It is there that
you probably were able to find the specialty groups, e.g for Austin.
