Hi

It is available either via the Beta site or MSDN. If you haven't got =
access to either of those, then you won't be able to download it.

Why would you want to? A *beta* does not mean "way l33+ r0x0r software no
one else has." "Beta" means "in testing, prone to crashes and other
trouble." The posting style doesn't sound like that of, oh, an IT director
that would need to test ahead of time (and would know about betas and MSDN
in advance anyway.)

Just wait for the release and inevitable followup hotfixes.

Kenny,
If you don't have access to it, then you are not authorized to download it.
If you have to ask in this newsgroup, then you are probably not a good
candidate for installing beta software without a proper catch net. I have
been a beta tester since 97, and it is not for the faint of heart. you must
have a dedicated beta system or a system that is available on backup media
if the beta bits cause a clean system install.
Keep this in mind when you find your SP2 update.
BTW, I installed SP2, evaluated SP2, sent in bug reports and removed it. It
was not ready for prime time.
Waiting for next build.
The difference? You install the beta software, have problems but can't relay
the information to MS. You have no support groups to tell you if you install
certain build #XXXXXX it cannot be uninstalled but must be reformatted.
If you want to try beta software, make sure it does not affect your main
system.

Maybe he has been trying (like me) to become a beta-tester since 97.
The fact that he has never been accepted might make him try to get the stuff
via whatever means or ways.
I can understand him.

It is frustrating how MS cntinues to limit their beta-tester list to the
same people again and again.
This is not a warranty for new ideas, it's even discriminating.

It's not worth having yet, IMO.

send an email and follow the instruction you get from
the reply exactly. This is how I became a beta tester, and I only keep my
tester status by following the beta requirements and NDA restrictions. I see
many new testers in the beta newsgroups all the time.
Posting messages to non beta newsgroups will not help his quest to be added
to the beta tester program.
Myself and any other authorized beta tester is limited by NDA on what
information can be disclosed. That is why it is so inappropriate to post
questions about service packs currently in beta to the public newsgroups and
why the questions get the replies they get.
