Hello!
After sporadic disconnections over the past few weeks, my WiFi
configuration under XP Pro has given up the ghost.
As in most cases I've seen posted, it started with the little balloon
popping up stating that there are wireless networks available, however
whenever I tried to connect nothing would happen. Signal strength was
excellent, but nothing I did could connect me to my WiFi network.
I've tried switching from Windows controlled to using the Belkin
utility - nothing works. I've tried dropping encryption altogether -
no effect.
The computer in question is using a Belkin 54-g PCI adapter. It
connects to a Belkin 54-g WAP. I've got another wireless device, a
PDA, that has no problem connecting.
I have searched for that hotfix that has given others problems - but
it isn't on my system. I've even tried disabling the Wireless Zero
Configuration service - but no success.
Anyone ever run into this problem?
