Hopefully, I can explain this:

XP-h on a new Sony Vaio desktop
XP-P on a new Compact Laptop (both well "powered" machines).

Internet access is (via sat. - Direcway) through the Sony Vaio; and the(XP-h
(the Compac lap) absolutely will not access the internet. There exists
"network bridge." The proxy settings, etc. are all correct. In fact, these
exact setting (proxy) work on another network - both running XP-h. The
network cards are Realtech. I'm just never used a "network bridge" before.
Everything in fine on the "server" XP-h, but I can't make the laptop
connect.

The laptop is set to use LAN only for internet access. Is there somewhere I
can ferret out solutions to this problem?

TIA

Unless you have a specific reason for having a network bridge, right
click and delete it.
